The owner of SOVA has lived in DC for almost 20 years, mostly on the NE side of Capitol Hill. When he became interested in opening a coffee business, he naturally first looked around his own community. On H Street, NE, he found a premium location in a neighborhood that was very underserved when it came to quality coffee, tea, and a good glass of wine, but that was undergoing a Renaissance. So he asked himself, what goes better with a Renaissance than a shot of espresso and a glass of vino?

And SOVA was born
